*Sanitary acrylic: There are basically two types of acrylic bathtubs, the “100% sanitary acrylic” and the so-called “ABS acrylic”. The most important difference is that the “100% sanitary acrylic” bathtubs have a wear surface of 3-5 mm, while the “ABS acrylic” has only a few tenths of a mm of acrylic wear surface, followed by an ABS plastic layer.
